Lane Kiffin launches football to official in frustration after incompletion
Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels are taking on the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 10. The game is going the Rebels’ way right now, but that doesn’t mean Kiffin hasn’t been frustrated at times.
Early in the 2nd quarter, the Rebels had a 28-3 lead. Before they broke out to that lead, Jaxson Dart threw an incomplete pass way over the head of a receiver and Kiffin caught the ball on the sideline.
The coach then turned and threw the ball in disgust to an official.

Lane Kiffin has a pro arm and there’s a reason that ref doesn’t have pads on pic.twitter.com/6VBa4U2Xeq

Kiffin has a nice arm, but the ref did not have hands. The ball went right through the ref’s grip and bounced away.
Still, it was hilarious to see Kiffin’s frustrations boil over even as his team has a commanding lead. With 10 minutes left in the 2nd, the Rebels had a 28-3 lead. Dart has had a nice game thus far, having completed 12 of 15 passes for 233 yards with 3 TDs.
The Rebels will improve to 7-2 on the season and 3-2 in SEC play if they can hold on to their big lead, but there’s still a lot of football to be played. The Razorbacks, meanwhile, would fall to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
This rivalry has gone back and forth in recent years. In the last 5 meetings between these SEC rivals, the Rebels have won 3 while the Razorbacks have won 2. Overall, the Rebels have 30 wins, the Razorbacks won 38, and the teams have tied once.
If Kiffin’s team keeps performing like this in Week 10, the coach shouldn’t have much more to get upset about.
