Lane Kiffin was thrilled after his Ole Miss Rebels dominated the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Peach Bowl.

The Rebels had a 20-17 lead at the half and then outscored the Nittany Lions 18-8 in the second half to win 38-25.

“I think it’s really a cool time right now at Ole Miss,” Kiffin declared. “To win the most games in the history of the school and to have so many pieces already announcing that they’re coming back, which I made sure a couple of them are still doing that after their performances today.”

As Kiffin mentioned, the team will finish the season with 11 wins for the first time in school history. Jaxson Dart and Quinshon Judkins, who are both slated to come back in 2024, had big days in Atlanta. Judkins had 106 yards on the ground and Dart threw for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns.

“These guys announcing they’re coming back, all these great players around the country kind of coming together,” Kiffin said. Some of these guys joked about it being the last dance next year, and I was concerned there was too much focus on that.”

The coach was also asked if the Peach Bowl represented a turning point for the team.

“I really do believe we’re just getting started,” Kiffin stated confidently. “I think that we’re doing something — we’re on our way to something really special.

“We’re just getting started on something really special and a run here. I normally say that’s never been done before, but I guess we just did that, but to come back and do it even better and to continue to improve on what we’ve done so far.
