The highlight of the weekly SEC Coaches Teleconference? Someone flushed a toilet during Lane Kiffin's segment on the call
If you have never listened in to the weekly SEC Coaches Teleconference call, you aren’t missing much.
Each week during the season, all 14 coaches are required to speak to the media for 10 minutes during the call.
Rarely does anything earth-shattering occur on the call and much of it is business as usual.
Kirby Smart is literally always late for some reason, Jimbo Fisher often opens with a long-winded opening statement that can take up about half of his time on the call while Will Muschamp’s opening statement is usually less than 10 words.
During the latest call, however, something happened that’s not happened in the many years this author has been listening in to the call.
If you listen to the audio clip below, someone (maybe Lane Kiffin?) appears to be using the bathroom while the call moderator, Chuck Dunlap of the SEC, is trying to get the Ole Miss coach on the line. Kiffin quickly joins the call and before long, you can audibly hear a toilet flush during his segment.
That was a first.
