Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels are preparing to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 10.  Ahead of that matchup, Kiffin provided a cautious update on running back Logan Diggs.

Diggs, who transferred to Ole Miss this offseason, has yet to play for the team. The former Notre Dame and LSU RB underwent offseason knee surgery and is still recovering. However, Kiffin’s update implied the RB won’t make his debut in Week 10.

When asked if Diggs would return soon, Kiffin offered the following.

“I hope so. Maybe after the bye week. Still a little ways to go,” said the coach.

The Rebels still have 2 more games before their next bye, so this isn’t the best update. Arkansas is up in Week 10, and then the Rebels play host to Georgia in Week 11. Based on Kiffin’s timetable, it seems like Diggs could make his season debut against Florida in Week 13.

Without Diggs, Henry Parrish Jr. has been the bellcow for the Rebels. Parrish has taken 120 carries for 656 yards and 10 TDs. The Rebels are No. 40 in the nation in rushing offense.

Diggs’ best season came in 2022 with Notre Dame. That season, the RB rushed for 821 yards and 4 TDs. Diggs transferred to LSU after that season, and proceeded to rush for 653 yards during his lone season in Baton Rouge.

The Rebels’ Week 10 matchup will kick off from Razorback Stadium on Saturday at Noon ET.
