Lane Kiffin has been open in recent weeks about the series of life changes that happened for him in recent years, and he said on Monday that a lot of it had to do with his job as the Ole Miss head coach.

“I feel like I needed Oxford and Ole Miss more than Oxford and Ole Miss needed me,” Kiffin said, per Brad Logan. “How people are here, it’s been really awesome for me. A lot of changes for me personally, I think a lot of that had to do with me coming here.โ€

Kiffin in recent weeks has detailed how he lost 30 pounds this offseason, and made other changes like doing hot yoga and watching a Nicholas Sparks movie on a Sunday night with 6 high school girls. He shared a lot of these developments in a recent interview with Trey Wallace of Outkick.

โ€œI think we all go through things,โ€ Kiffin said. โ€œIโ€™ve been through a lot, I think theyโ€™re well-documented, you know divorce, firings. So now being here, daughter moving here, you kinda get out of that world, you get back in it, some things change. I didnโ€™t think Iโ€™d be watching a Nicholas Sparks movie on Sunday night, last night with six high school girls there sitting on the couch and a dog. So I guess maybe things have changed.โ€
