Lane Kiffin speaks to difficulty of playing at Jordan-Hare Stadium, availability for Jordan Watkins
Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss have a challenge ahead of them coming out of the bye week.
The Rebels will go on the road this Saturday to one of the hardest places to play in the SEC in Jordan-Hare Stadium. While Auburn has struggled this season, the Tigers have been significantly better at home. Just 2 weeks ago, they took Georgia down to the wire at home.
“It’s a very challenging place to play, team to go play, that we’ve struggled with early here,” Kiffin said during his press conference Monday. “Ended up winning last year, so new challenge to go try to win on the road there. I think as a program we’ve won once there in 20 years. It’ll be exciting to have this opportunity and go in there and play a complete game, which we’ll need to win.”
Kiffin also provided some good news for Ole Miss fans. He said that they anticipate Jordan Watkins playing after the wide receiver suffered a hand injury in practice last week.
Watkins has been a huge part of Ole Miss’ offense this season with 536 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
The Rebels are looking for another big SEC West win as they try and find their way into the SEC Championship. A win over Auburn would certainly keep them moving in the right direction.
