Lane Kiffin spoke to the challenges of Ole Miss’s offense facing Auburn’s defense this weekend.

With the Tigers doing well against the run and a turnover margin in their favor, Kiffin brings a lot to the table.

“They coach really well. They don’t do a ton of things, but they do them really well,” Kiffin said at his press conference on Monday.

Kiffin said Auburn’s run defense has a simple effect of schemes.

“It’s coaching hard and playing physical (for Auburn), and they tackle well,” Kiffin said.

Auburn’s defense has allowed 781 total rushing yards, which is good 3.17 yards per carry. Through 6 games this season, the Tigers have allowed just 7 rushing touchdowns.

Ole Miss, however, has been efficient with its run game. The Rebels have 1,100 total rushing yards and 11 TDs on 228 carries.

Ole Miss sophomore Quinshon Judkins leads the teams’ rushing attack with 443 yards and six TDs on 108 carries. Senior running back Ulysses Bentley IV has carried the ball 37 times for 275 yards and three TDs. Junior quarterback Jaxson Dart has also performed well on the ground, running for 302 yards and four TDs so far this season.

The Rebels (5-1) capped their bye week and are now ready to face Auburn (3-3) this Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
