Lane Kiffin continued to call out the College Football Playoff committee on Saturday after Ole Miss was left out of the 12-team field. The latest fuel to Kiffin’s fire is the first-half performance of SMU, who trailed Penn State 28-0 at halftime.

The Mustangs’ outing has been marked by 3 first-half interceptions by Kevin Jennings, including a pair of pick-6s. And Kiffin responded with the tweet below:

Kiffin was keeping tabs on Friday’s first-round Playoff game as well. And while Indiana may have been among the darlings of the tournament after a remarkable first season under Curt Cignetti, the Hoosiers couldn’t keep up with Notre Dame, falling 27-17 — leading to a sarcastic tweet from the Rebels head coach.

To Kiffin’s point, the Mustangs haven’t given a good account of themselves against Penn State. But at the end of the day, the Rebels simply didn’t do enough to get in: a Community Note tagged to Kiffin’s Saturday post noted his team’s loss to Kentucky, who finished with a 4-8 record in 2024. That’s not to mention a late-season loss to Florida, either.

There are still 2 games remaining on Saturday as Clemson visits Texas while Ohio State hosts Tennessee. We’ll see if Kiffin has anything more to add to his backlog of tweets to the Playoff committee.
