Matt Corral explains why he continues to play through injury despite looming NFL career

Matt Corral is going to be playing on Sundays (and Mondays and Thursdays) next fall. Heck, he’ll probably be a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft at this rate.

But, despite that looming massive NFL payday, Corral continues to play for Ole Miss despite an ankle injury.

After a win over Liberty on Saturday, Corral was asked why he continues to play through the pain and risk further injury.

Being a leader, he had a great answer. Here’s what he said about his decision to keep playing:

When you’ve got a guy like that leading your team, it’s no wonder teammates are willing to run through a brick wall for him.

That’s what leadership looks like.
