Ole Miss RB Scottie Phillips has been banged up a lot this year, but last week at Texas A&M, he suffered an ankle sprain that has the Rebels concerned.

He’s been held out of practice this week as the Rebels prepare for a game against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

On Wednesday night, coach Matt Luke said Phillips will be a game-time decision this weekend and will continue to get rest in practice (via 247Sports):

“We’re just going to rest him as much as we can, and it will be a game-time decision,” confirmed Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke following the Rebels’ Wednesday evening practice.

“As far as him carrying the ball, he’s going to know what to do. He’ll be out there for team periods for the third-down stuff, but we’re going to try to rest him as much as we can. It will be a game-time decision.”

Phillips is the SEC’s third-leading rusher this year, with 927 yards and an SEC-best 12 touchdowns, so the Rebels really need him healthy.
