Ole Miss announced it was self-imposing a one-year bowl ban on Wednesday afternoon in response to 21 allegations against the football team, including eight new potential infractions.
On Bo Mattingly’s Arkansas radio show on Wednesday afternoon, he had Mississippi radio host Bo Bounds on to discuss coach Hugh Freeze’s future with the Rebels.
As you can see in the video below, though, Bounds doesn’t think the embattled coach has much of a future left in Oxford:

Bounds says he believes the only reason Freeze is still currently employed by Ole Miss is to ensure the school can eventually terminate his contract with cause:
“They’re staying with Freeze right now, but here’s my question: Are they doing that because are they sure they can fire him with cause?” he said. “He’s got a monster contract left.”
Bounds continues to say the school could wait until the summer when the infractions committee makes its ruling. Then, if there are severe enough additional sanctions against the school, the Rebels can terminate Freeze’s contract with cause.
