It’s always important to remember during transfer portal season that just because a player enters the portal, it doesn’t mean he has to switch schools.

That was the case on Sunday, as Ole Miss reportedly got a Christmas gift from a defensive player deciding to withdraw his name from the portal.

Per Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, DB Kyndrich Breedlove will return to Ole Miss for the 2023 season instead of transferring:

Breedlove was a member of Ole Miss’s 2021 recruiting class, a 3-star player out of Nashville.

In 2 years with the Rebels, he has appeared in 10 games — 9 in 2021 and 1 in 2022. Playing primarily as a special-teams contributor, he has recorded 1 career tackle.
