Ole Miss guard Breein Tyree has made his initial NBA Draft decision. Tyree announced Saturday that he’ll test the draft waters and enter the pool of available players while maintaining his NCAA eligibility should he ultimately decide to return to Oxford for the 2019-20 season.

Tyree earned first-team All-SEC honors after leading the Rebels’ with 17.9 points per game. Ole Miss is coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2015.

The 2019 NBA Draft is set for June 20. A draft combine will be held in Chicago from May 15-19. Players can participate in the combine and work out for teams without impacting their NCAA eligibility if they choose to withdraw from the draft pool by May 29.

Tyree’s announcement was shared by the official Twitter account of the Ole Miss basketball team.
