Ole Miss basketball is reportedly finalizing an agreement to play Cal in a non-conference, neutral site game in San Antonio this upcoming season. The game will be played on December 16.
The full details of the matchup have not been released (tip, TV info, etc) as of Tuesday, but we know it will coincide with Tennessee basketball’s matchup with NC State on the same day in San Antonio.
This news stems from a report by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein Tuesday evening.

Ole Miss basketball is perhaps one of the most interesting programs in the SEC next season. Kermit Davis and the Rebels parted ways after 5 seasons to end 2023, ushering the Chris Beard era to Oxford for this upcoming year.
Beard has established himself as a true winner in the college basketball landscape but was fired by Texas in the middle of last season after being charged with a third-degree felony for family violence.
The first-year Rebels coach will face off against another newcomer in Mark Madsen, who is returning to the Golden State following a strong stint as head coach at Utah Valley the past 4 seasons. The former Stanford hoops standout should have a fun group in Berkeley next season.
