Ole Miss has a huge game this weekend against Georgia in a game that could put the Rebels in a great position to make the College Football Playoff.
While that game is on Saturday, the Rebels did get some good news on Thursday as 4-star defensive back Keon Young announced his commitment.
“After prayer and talking with my family, I am shutting down my recruitment. I AM 100% COMMITTED TO OLE MISS,” Young posted on X.

Young plays his high school football at Lakeland, and he is one of the best football players in the 2025 class in Florida.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Young is 366th best player in the class and the 49th best player in the state of Florida. He is also ranked as the 35th best safety in the class.
The Rebels are currently 21st in the country with that class, but it also ranks 11th in the SEC.
While the game against Georgia is huge for the playoff chances of Ole Miss, a win in that game is the type of things that can change those recruiting rankings in a hurry.
