Ole Miss lands commitment from 2021 forward out of North Carolina, a former Louisville pledge

3-star 2021 forward Eric Van Der Heijden had been committed to Louisville. But, on Saturday, he announced he was reopening his recruitment.
It didn’t take long for him to find a new home, as he revealed on Monday afternoon that he’d committed to Ole Miss.
As you can see below, the 6-9, 205-pound forward from Raleigh, North Carolina, took to Twitter to announce he’d be playing for Kermit Davis’s squad next season:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Van Der Heijden is the No. 37 power forward in the class of 2021 and the No. 9 overall recruit from the state of North Carolina.
Ole Miss now has 4 players in its 2021 recruiting class (headlined by 4-star guard Daeshun Ruffin). The class currently ranks No. 29 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
