Ole Miss on Monday landed a commitment from a junior college wide receiver.

Jarnorris Hopson played the 2023 season at Northwest (Miss.) Community College after he signed with Mississippi State out of Horn Lake High School in Mississippi. He spent a spring and a season at Mississippi State where he was redshirted before transferring to Northwest Community College. He has 3 seasons of eligibility remaining.

Last season, Hopson caught 37 passes, for 463 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.

He’s listed at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds. He was recruited to Ole Miss by George McDonald. Hopson’s other known offers were from Jackson State and Mississippi Valley State.

It’s not clear how Hopson’s commitment affects the recruitment of the younger Hopson, Jarcoby, who is also a talented receiver.

“I would say none at all. I don’t have anything to do with what Jarcoby has got going on. Whatever he does is based on his decision, and whatever I do is on my decision. me, hopefully, I would hope we want to do something, but it’s completely out of each other’s control when it comes down to what we do,” Jarnorris Hopson told 247Sports.
