Ole Miss is fighting for its NCAA Tournament life on Monday night, so it’s a night of a lot of emotions for LHP Ryan Rolison.

That’s because Rolison was selected by the Colorado Rockies with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft right as the Rebels went down 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning.

After being selected in the 37th round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres, Rolison made the wise decision to attend Ole Miss, and it paid off.

In 17 appearances this year, Rolison is 10-4 with a 3.70 ERA. He has struck out 120 batters in 97.1 innings and has walked only 45.

Now, he’s a first-round pick. Colorado isn’t an easy place to pitch, but Rolison has the skills to get it done.
