Ole Miss now has 1 less wide receiver in its 2024 class with Jeremy Scott decommitting on Saturday.

Scott is a 3-star wideout from Jackson (Miss.) Callaway. The 247Sports Composite has him as the No. 146 WR and No. 29 prospect from the state of Mississippi.

After a lot of thought on the matter, Scott decided that it was best for him to look elsewhere to play college football.

“After a lot of prayer and several conversations with my family. I have come to the conclusion that it is in my best interest to reopen my recruitment,” Scott wrote in a social media post. “I am formally announcing my decommitment from Ole Miss.”

The Rebels were one of the only SEC teams to give Scott an offer. Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt also showed interest in him.

Luckily for Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin still has verbal commitments from 3 3-star wide receivers in the 2024 class. Marquis Willis, Rahji Davis, and Sanfrisco Magee are still verbally pledged.

Scott is a versatile athlete, playing in not 1 but 3 different sports. When he’s not playing football for Callaway, Scott plays baseball and runs track and field.
