Ole Miss has learned its bowl game fate.

The Rebels will take on Penn State in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta on Dec. 30. It is the second New Year’s 6 Bowl appearance for Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin. It played in the Sugar Bowl in 2021, where the Rebels lost to Baylor.

The matchup between Ole Miss and Penn State will be the first meeting between the two teams in program history.

This year’s game will be the third time the Rebels have played in the Peach Bowl. Ole Miss won it in 1971 against Georgia Tech and it lost in 2014 against TCU.

Ole Miss finished the regular season 10-2 with losses to Alabama and Georgia. It marked the second 10-win season for Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin. Now, Ole Miss will be looking to secure its first 11-win season in program history.

Penn State also finished the season 10-2 with losses to Ohio State and Michigan — the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff. The Nittany Lions are looking to pick up a signature win to secure a second-straight 11-win season.
