Three former Ole Miss Rebels now play football for the New York Giants, and all three had a huge impact in the Giants’ convincing 45-14 win over the Washington Redskins on Thursday night last week.

Ole Miss legend and two-time Super Bowl champion in New York Eli Manning was excellent against Washington, completing 28 of 39 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. It was his first 300-yard game of the year, and he even ran for a touchdown in the second half of the blowout.

Former Rebels’ cornerback Trumaine McBride had a huge game for the defense, intercepting a pass and forcing a fumble in the Giants’ victory. He made just one tackle in the game but helped force two of the Redskins’ six turnovers. McBride now has four career interceptions.

Lastly, former Ole Miss offensive lineman John Jerry started at guard for Manning and the Giants in the victory.

Here’s what some other Rebels did around the NFL last weekend:

  • Brandon Bolden: Bolden will play tailback for the New England Patriots in their showdown on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. He only carried the ball eight times in New England’s first three games combined this year.
  • Kendrick Lewis: Lewis made six tackles from his free safety spot for the Houston Texans in a 23-17 win over the Buffalo Bills Sunday afternoon.
  • Dexter McCluster: The former Rebels’ tailback carried the ball two times for the Tennessee Titans in their 41-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. McCluster rushed for just one yard, and did not catch a pass in a losing effort.
  • Donte Moncrief: The Rebels’ highest drafted player in the 2014 NFL Draft caught two passes for 14 yards for the Indianapolis Colts in a 24-point win over Tennessee on Sunday.
  • Michael Oher: The former Rebels’ offensive tackles started on the offensive line for the Tennessee Titans in their loss to the Colts on Sunday.
  • Ashlee Palmer: The former Ole Miss linebacker recorded his first tackle of the season for the Detroit Lions in a 24-17 win over the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.
  • Jerrell Powe: The Houston Texans defensive tackle made on tackle in a 23-17 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon.
  • Mike Wallace: The former Ole Miss wideout and electric Miami Dolphins playmaker caught three passes for 35 yards and a touchdown in a 38-14 win over the Oakland Raiders in London, England on Sunday. It was his third game with a touchdown in four weeks this season.
  • Patrick Willis: The former Rebels’ superstar and current San Francisco 49ers defensive anchor made just three tackles in a 26-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. San Francisco did not allow Philadelphia’s offense to score a single point on 11 drives (all of the Eagles’ points came from the defense and special teams). Willis now has 23 tackles in four games this year, putting him on pace to record 92 by season’s end.
