Ole Miss was expected to have little trouble with visiting Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. The Warhawks entered the game with a 2-8 mark and their lone win against an FBS opponent coming against Army.

But Lane Kiffin’s team has gotten all it could handle through 2 quarters of play in Oxford. It’s Ole Miss 7, ULM 3 at halftime.

The Warhawks actually could have tied the game thanks to an Ole Miss pass interference that spotted the ball at the Rebels’ 6-yard line. But a helter-skelter, sloppy 2nd-and-goal eventually put it at the 9 and saw ULM eventually settle for 3 points.

Jaxson Dart has looked good, going 15-of-21 for 122 yards but failing to record a touchdown. Quinshon Judkins has 10 carries for 42 yards, while Ulysses Bentley IV has the game’s lone touchdown. The Rebels need to get things rolling in a hurry coming out of the locker room as this one has turned out to be tighter than expected.
