Ole Miss added a major piece to its 2023 defense on Thursday afternoon.

The Rebels landed a commitment from Stephon Wynn Jr., who is transferring from Nebraska.

Here’s his announcement:

Wynn began his college career at Alabama and was a member of the Tide’s 2018 signing class. He was a 4-star prospect and the No. 95 player in the country coming out of high school, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He arrived at Nebraska last spring and spent 1 season with the program. In 2022, he recorded a career-high 22 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss. He also was credited with 1 pass deflection and 1 forced fumble.

He becomes one of 15 transfers to join the Rebels so far this offseason. Ole Miss has been aggressive in adding talent via the portal so far this cycle. Wynn is 1 of 3 transfer defensive linemen to pick Ole Miss this offseason.

Wynn has 1 season of eligibility remaining.
