Ole Miss running back Zach Evans says the running backs should have no problem playing their game Saturday against Troy, even despite not knowing who the starting quarterback will be.

The Rebels and head coach Lane Kiffin have yet to name a starter between Luke Altmyer and USC transfer Jaxson Dart for the Week 1 clash.

Evans says his approach will be the same regardless of who is handing the ball off.

“Not at all. I mean, we gone keep pushing. We’re all a team,” Evans said, via On3 Sports. “We’re gonna obviously let Lane and them figure out that side of the ball out. But, other than that, running backs just worry about running backs. You gotta mow your own grass, stay in your own lane, keep pushing, stacking your days.”

Dart seems to be the more talented of the two. He played in six games last season for the Trojans, totaling 1,353 yards with 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Altmyer sat behind Matt Corral, one of the top quarterbacks in the nation last season, and totaled 192 yards passing, a touchdown and 2 interceptions in four appearances.
