KeShun Wells has been at Ole Miss for the entire Matt Luke era. The senior running back joined the Rebels in 2017, the same season that Luke took over as head coach.

Although Wells hasn’t made much of an impact on the field during his time at Ole Miss, he appears to value the time he’s spent at the school.

On Sunday, Wells took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message to Luke, who has been his coach the past three seasons:

Before coming to Ole Miss, Wells attended three different junior colleges, but he didn’t play football. Then, Luke gave him the opportunity to come to the Rebels, which has resulted in Wells becoming a scholarship player for his final season.

Over the past two seasons, Wells has appeared in 14 games, rushing five times for 28 yards. His lone carry so far this year was a 7-yard rush against New Mexico State on Nov. 9.

Wells’ tweet just shows the type of relationships that Luke has built with his players during his tenure as the Rebels’ coach.

Wells and the rest of Ole Miss’ senior class have one more game playing for Luke. The Rebels are set to take on Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving (Nov. 28) at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
