Ole Miss suffers 2nd decommitment on Sunday from 4-star in-state WR
Ole Miss has hit a bump on the recruiting trail with the second decommitment on Sunday in a matter of hours, this time from 4-star WR Marquez Dortch.
Dortch had been a Rebels commit since January, was the program’s second-highest commit of this class, and said he was 100 percent open. Dortch is from Lucedale, Mississippi (George County) and is rated the No. 5 player in the state of Mississippi, and the No. 36 wide receiver in the class of 2022, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has a reported 9 offers, including several from the SEC.
Dortch is listed at 6 feet and 175 pounds.
Ole Miss is down to 13 commitments now following the loss, also on Sunday, of a commitment from 4-star offensive lineman Bryson Hurst of Gautier, Mississippi.
