The 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks is on Saturday, and while the events of that day are ingrained upon the minds of Americans everywhere, it’s hard to believe that this year’s crop of college football players was either too young to remember what happened or not born at all.

It was an event that changed the face of the country which will be remembered in many forms and fashions across sports stadiums nationwide. Universities like Ole Miss are preparing their own tributes, with the Rebels marking the day with a patriotic-themed uniform combination.

The helmets feature the familiar “Ole Miss” script logo in stars and stripes, along with a miniature American flag sticker on the back. Players will also wear navy blue jerseys with white numbers and white trim, along with gray pants with red and navy blue trim.

The Rebels host FCS Austin Peay in Oxford on Saturday, with the game scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and streamed live on ESPN+.
