The Ole Miss women’s golf team won the program’s first national championship on Wednesday, besting Oklahoma State.

Sophomore Andrea Lignell hit a five-foot putt on the 17th hole to clinch the title for the Rebels.

Lane Kiffin was quick to congratulate the ladies on their big win and remind athletes everywhere that “Come To The Sip” applies to all sports.

Golfweek’s brief recap also highlighted the play of Chiara Tamburlini, nothing her 6 and 5 win was the largest margin of victory in the women’s final. Fifth-year senior Kennedy Swann was also highlighted for her 2 and 1 win, which pushed her career match-play mark to 10-2.
