Wide receiver Jonathan Mingo dropped a sure touchdown early in the second quarter. The Rebels had to settle for a field goal.

Malik Heath couldn’t haul in this 3rd down pass that would have gotten Ole Miss out of the shadow of its end zone.

Both teams have been a little inconsistent on offense thus far and Ole Miss has stalled in the red zone a couple of times. Three field goals had the Rebels in the lead, but they needed to turn to a defensive lineman, JJ Pegues, to grab the first touchdown of the game and take a 16-7 lead late in the first half.
