The unceremonious end of the Hugh Freeze era came to a head in Oxford Thursday evening. The administration, citing “a pattern of personal misconduct” in regards to Freeze, would not specify the exact nature of his indiscretions during the press conference held on campus Thursday.

While the school’s administrators wouldn’t go there, the word is out on Freeze: he used a university-issued phone to call at least one escort service. According to one writer, Freeze frequently did this when he left Oxford.
