Here come the Rebels.

No. 3 Ole Miss put itself in the national spotlight with a second straight defeat of Alabama earlier this season. Now thrust in the College Football Playoff picture and in the mix for an SEC championship, the Rebels must again hit the road to take on Florida.

Both teams are unbeaten, and the Swamp will be rocking as the No. 25 Gators are ranked for the first time since October of 2013.

Here are five Ole Miss players to watch:

1. WR Laquon Treadwell: Without question, the marquee matchup that fans at home need to keep their eyes glued on is Ole Miss’ Treadwell matching up against Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III, who’s become arguably the nation’s top player at the position. Treadwell leads the Rebels with 22 receptions for 332 yards and a touchdown. Treadwell ranks third in the SEC in receiving yardage. Conversely, Hargreaves has a team-leading two interceptions this season but is mostly charged with being a lockdown corner. Treadwell and Hargreaves should provide some fireworks when they meet on Saturday.

2. DB Trae Elston: The Ole Miss defense leads the SEC with seven interceptions so far this season, three of which have come from Elston. On Saturday, Elston’s job is to not only try and force the Florida offense into turnovers, but force Will Grier and Co. to throw the ball on third downs. The Gators convert just 35.2 percent of their third-down attempts, which ranks dead last in the SEC. Grier is 12 of 22 on third-down pass attempts. Expect Elston to try and help Florida continue its third-down struggles and capitalize off them.

3. OT Laremy Tunsil: Ole Miss’ prized left tackle has not played a down yet this season as the NCAA investigates an off-the-field issue. But there could be no better time for Tunsil to return than this week. The Rebels offensive line will have its hands full with Florida defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard, who last week notched nine tackles, including three for a loss, and a sack against Tennessee. Whether it’s Sean Rawlings, Fahn Cooper or Tunsil, whoever is charged with slowing down Bullard must get the job done in order for Chad Kelly to have time to look downfield.

4.WR Cody Core: Sure, the spotlight is going to shine on Treadwell as he battles throughout the game with Hargreaves. But with so much of Florida’s attention being placed on Treadwell, it gives the other Ole Miss wide receivers a chance to step up. This season, Core has 14 receptions for 320 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also averaging 22.9 yards per catch. Additionally, Quincy Adeboyejo leads the Rebels with five touchdown grabs. Both Core and Adeboyejo are 6-foot-3 and should present matchup problems as no member of the Gators secondary is taller than 6-foot-1.

5. LB C.J. Johnson: Despite the pressure that the Ole Miss front seven has seemingly generated through the first four games, the defense has registered only 3.0 sacks. Last week, Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack made some adjustments, including lining Johnson — a converted defensive end — back to his original position for pass-rush situations instead of dropping back into coverage. Florida has allowed 8.0 sacks this season and is vulnerable against a fierce pass rush, which the Rebels are more than capable of getting with the talent across the defense. Johnson, along with Robert Nkemdiche and Marquis Haynes, should all have opportunities to chase after Grier in this game.
