The Minnesota Vikings made former Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell a first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he never lived up to expectations in Minnesota.

The team parted ways with him after the 2019 season, and back in March, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons.

However, as rosters are being cut around the league on Saturday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Falcons have released Treadwell:

In 4 years with the Vikings, Treadwell only recorded 65 catches for 701 yards and 2 touchdowns. That’s certainly not the level of production the Vikings were hoping to get from him.

Will he find another team before the start of the 2020 season next week? We’ll find out over the next few days.
