Report: Key Ole Miss defender could miss rest of season with upper body injury
The Ole Miss defense has been ravaged by injuries already this season, and it has shown in the poor results the Rebels have had on that side of the ball.
Now, there is even more bad news, as a key starter will potentially be out for the rest of the season with an injury.
Per AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, starting safety Jaylon Jones will be out against Auburn while he deals with a potential season-ending upper body injury:
Sources: Ole Miss will be without starting free safety Jaylon Jones vs. Auburn today and potentially for the rest of the season. Has an upper body injury that’s feared to be a season-ending injury.
A blow for Lane Kiffin's defense.https://t.co/zPivvbMUxC

Jones missed a good portion of the 2018 season with a knee injury, so it’s unfortunate to see him potentially miss another season with an injury.
So far this season, Jones has recorded 27 tackles and broken up 1 pass.
