SEC Nation host picks Ole Miss to upset Georgia, goes crowd surfing in Oxford
SEC Nation brought its weekly pregame show party to Oxford on a very important Saturday for Ole Miss, which is preparing to host Georgia at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC in a showdown that has College Football Playoff implications all over it.
The 7-1 Bulldogs have a little bit of margin for error still when it comes to the Playoff, since they only have 1 loss. But the Rebels are 7-2, and Lane Kiffin’s team simply can’t afford to lose a 3rd game if it wants to squeeze its way into the inaugural 12-team Playoff next month.
Well, SEC Nation host Jordan Rodgers doesn’t think Ole Miss will lose that backbreaking 3rd game on Saturday afternoon. Rodgers whipped the Rebels fans who gathered near the SEC Network set into a frenzy by picking the Rebels to take down Georgia and keep their Playoff hopes firmly intact going forward.
“You know what, they’re getting it done today baby, let’s go!” shouted Rodgers, the younger brother of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Before picking Ole Miss, Rodgers admitted that Georgia never loses to teams not named Alabama and that the Rebels haven’t exactly had success beating really elite teams in recent years. But that didn’t stop Rodgers from taking Ole Miss, and it also didn’t stop Rodgers from going crowd surfing moments after putting his faith in the Rebels.
We’ll find out later Saturday if Rodgers was right or if his pick was just some misplaced home pandering.
Not sure why it would be an upset, Ole Miss has a better qb, better defense overall and playing at home.
Yep, just like Texas.
