Ole Miss senior captain Tim Elko isn’t letting his team go down without a fight this postseason.

Even though he has a torn ACL, he hasn’t let that stop him from slugging the ball at an impressive rate at the plate. In Ole Miss’s NCAA Tournament opener against SEMO over the weekend, Elko stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and launched a grand slam.

And, as you can see below, he did the same thing on Monday afternoon in a winner-takes-all game against Southern Miss:

Running the bases is a lot easier when you get to trot leisurely instead of sprint, so Elko has figured out a smart way to ease the pressure on his torn ACL.

Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin saw the home run and was impressed, tweeting about the play:

The Rebels hold a 9-2 lead in the top of the third inning. We’ll see if Elko has any more big hits left in him before this game is over.
