Tysheem Johnson, a former Ole Miss safety, has announced he will play in the Pac-12.

Johnson last season collected 78 combined tackles (38 solo) and 2 passes defended. He was a two-year starter for the Rebels, and in 2021 appeared in 12 games and made 47 tackles with 4 tackles for a loss.

Johnson will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

As a 4-star recruit out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Neumann Goretti), Johnson committed to Ole Miss over Alabama, Arizona State, LSU, Maryland, Stanford and Texas A&M. He was rated the No. 17 safety in the Class of 2021, and the No. 11 player in the state of Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Johnson was named to the SEC’s All-Freshman team after the 2021 campaign, after he started 11 games as a rookie.
