Ulysses Bentley IV isn’t leaving Oxford any time soon. Bentley is sticking around after finishing 2nd on the team with 540 rushing yards in the Ole Miss backfield behind Quinshon Judkins.

Bentley’s career started at SMU, where he saw limited action in 2019. In his 2nd season with the Mustangs, he achieved a career high 913 yards rushing. In 2021, Bentley split time in the backfield and had 610 yards rushing as a result.

After spending 3 seasons with SMU, he opted to transfer to Ole Miss. Bentley was the backup to Judkins, but now may have the chance to pursue an even bigger role with the team. Judkins hit the transfer portal, and left a huge gap in the running back room at Ole Miss.

Bentley was a 3-star prospect in the 2019 class. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 97 RB in the class. He is a native of Houston (TX) C.E. King.

The Rebels will still have plenty of returning talent next season. Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn, and Jordan Watkins are just some of the players coming back to play for Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss achieved its 1st 11-win season in program history this season after beating Penn State in the Peach Bowl.
