Walter Nolen, former Texas A&M DL, announces transfer commitment
Walter Nolen is staying in the SEC.
The former 5-star defensive lineman committed to Ole Miss on Sunday afternoon. Nolen is widely-regarded as one of the top available transfers in the portal this offseason. He chose Ole Miss over Oregon and a host of other top programs.
Nolen shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Nolen decided to enter the transfer portal after 2 seasons in College Station. He totaled 66 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 1 forced fumble while playing for the Aggies.
In addition to his strong production at Texas A&M, Nolen was also a very highly-rated prospect. He was the No. 2 overall player in the country back in the class of 2022, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Nolen joins an Ole Miss transfer class that is loaded with elite talent. Some other notable additions for the Rebels this offseason are former South Carolina receiver Juice Wells and ex-Florida edge Princely Umanmielen. Nolen is Ole Miss’ 12th transfer pickup so far this offseason.
Nolen will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.
