Though Ole Miss WR D.K. Metcalf was overshadowed by teammates A.J. Brown and DeMarkus Lodge — each of whom had two touchdowns — on Saturday, Metcalf had perhaps the best catch of the weekend.

In a 57-35 victory over Vanderbilt, Metcalf’s numbers — two catches for 37 yards — don’t jump off the page, but the way he went about one catch certainly did.

As you can see in the video below, Metcalf goes up and over a Vanderbilt defender, snagging the ball behind the defender’s head and hanging on as they tumble to the ground:

Credit where credit is due — that was actually great defense by the Commodore defender. However, Metcalf wasn’t about to let that stop him from grabbing the ball.

Ole Miss has one of the best groups of receivers in the SEC, and if Metcalf keeps making grabs like he did above, the Rebels will be even better off for it.
