Oregon falls at Stanford in OT, potentially ending Pac-12’s Playoff hopes

Oregon entered Saturday in firm control of 1 of the 4 College Football Playoff spots.
All the Ducks had to do to keep that spot was beat a 2-2, unranked Stanford team in Palo Alto. Instead, the Ducks let the Cardinal hang around, forcing overtime by scoring a touchdown on this untimed down:

That was Elijah Higgins coming down with the ball. The extra point was good and overtime was on.
Stanford got the ball to start overtime, and drove down the short field for a touchdown. Then, Oregon failed to match, with this fourth-down try falling incomplete:

Oregon was the No. 3 team in the country. Now, every Pac-12 team has at least 1 loss, so the league is likely eliminated from Playoff contention.
Will the Pac-12’s Playoff drought continue? It sure looks that way after the conference’s best hope suffered a bad road loss.
