Purdue coach Jeff Brohm shares his plan for how Big Ten should attempt to play spring season
Can the Big Ten realistically pull off a spring football season?
That’s debatable but we should at least credit Purdue coach Jeff Brohm for quickly working up a very detailed plan for how the Big Ten could potentially pull it off.
For now, the only chance Big Ten players have of playing in the coming months appears to be the ability of the conference to pull off this unprecedented goal while battling brutal weather, and more importantly, somehow managing to get players through two seasons of football in a year’s time.
That last point would appear to be a hurdle too difficult to clear but at least Brohm’s plan addresses it, the spring season would be shorter and fall practice would be amended to put less strain on players’ bodies.
