13 SEC players included in Round 1 of Pro Football Focus's 2020 NFL mock draft
The 2020 NFL Draft is still several months away, but that doesn’t stop analysts from putting out mock drafts.
It’s fun to see how players shift around during the course of a draft cycle, and on Wednesday, Pro Football Focus’s Michael Renner released a new 2020 mock draft.
As you can see below, 13 SEC players are projected to go in Round 1, with 5 Alabama players included:
- No. 1 — Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
- No. 3 — Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama — Washington Redskins
- No. 6 — Andrew Thomas, OL, Georgia — New York Giants
- No. 7 — Grant Delpit, S, LSU — Detroit Lions
- No. 14 — Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU — Carolina Panthers
- No. 15 — Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn — Tennessee Titans
- No. 17 — Alex Leatherwood, OL, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
- No. 18 — CJ Henderson, CB, Florida — San Francisco 49ers
- No. 19 — Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama — Pittsburgh Steelers
- No. 20 — Javon Kinlaw, DL, South Carolina — Seattle Seahawks
- No. 23 — Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama — Minnesota Vikings
- No. 27 — Jared Pinkney, TE, Vanderbilt — Dallas Cowboys
- No. 32 — Joe Burrow, QB, LSU — New England Patriots
How will these change as the weeks go on? NFL scouts will be watching the college season closely.
Definitely think Kindley could get in the first round if he enters.
Burrow to New England doesn’t seem right. They seem pretty happy with Stidham.
So I assume this is seniors only since PFF doesn’t know for sure which juniors will go early. Once we know that could be an all SEC first round. Lol.
Delpit is only a junior, so they are projecting juniors declaring, at least the most obvious ones.
I assume you don’t which on the list are juniors. A quick scan says at least 5 are. All the Bama players are and I know that Delpit is.
Albert O will go before Pinkney in terms of TE’s drafted
I’ll fist fight anyone who disagrees
I wonder if this guy has heard of him. But I think he was overblown early late in his freshman campaign due to an inordinate amount of TDs the last several games that year. But he does run a really nice route for his size. Has good hands too.
