The 2020 NFL Draft will be here before we know it, and that means a number of SEC athletes are going to go in Round 1.

But, could the conference actually account for more than half of the 32 first-round picks this year? That’s what Sports Illustrated’s Kevin Hanson thinks will happen, per his latest 2020 mock draft.

As you can see below, Hanson projects a whopping 17 SEC stars (including 9 from Alabama) to go in Round 1:

  • No. 4 — Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 6 — Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 7 — Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 10 — Jedrick Wills Jr., OT, Alabama — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 12 — Grant Delpit, S, LSU — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 13 — Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 16 — CJ Henderson, CB, Florida — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 18 — Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina — Oakland Raiders
  • No. 20 — Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 21 — Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU — Dallas Cowboys
  • No. 22 — D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia — Miami Dolphins
