Missouri’s stock may have plummeted since coach Gary Pinkel led the team to a second SEC East division title little more than a year ago.

But the roster former defensive coordinator Barry Odom inherited is not empty. Missouri leads the nation with three players on USA Today’s Freshman All-America team, which the paper released Thursday. Two of those, to no surprise, are defensive linemen. That includes five-star defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr.

Alabama also placed a pair of players on the list, including five-star receiver Calvin Ridley. Texas A&M’s five-star receiver Christian Kirk made the list as a kick returner.
