There are quite a few players in the SEC this season who possess elite speed. And in case you missed them, they showed it during Week 1.
Recruiting Analytics, a sports tech and data company, shares the top max speeds every week of the college football season. During the first week of games, there were 3 SEC players who ranked among the top 5 on its list.
Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams (22.3 mph) had the second-fastest speed, while Texas A&M running back Devon Achane (21.6 mph) and Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson (21.6 mph) were tied for fourth.

Williams reached his max speed on a 98-yard touchdown reception during the third quarter of Alabama’s 44-13 win over Miami on Saturday. His long score gave the Crimson Tide a 34-3 lead as they routed the Hurricanes in Atlanta.
Achane hit 21.6 mph on his 63-yard rushing touchdown during the third quarter of Texas A&M’s 41-10 win over Kent State. Richardson reached that mark on a 73-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter of Florida’s 35-14 victory against Florida Atlantic.
