The undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs are unquestionably two of the best teams in the country, but the question of which is better is a hotly debated issue.

In the College Football Playoff rankings — the only poll that really matters — Georgia is No. 1, with Bama at No. 2.

However, in most of the other polls, including the updated Week 10 FWAA Super 16 Poll, Alabama holds the top spot, with Georgia in second place:

Auburn checks in at No. 10 ahead of a big matchup with No. 2 Georgia on Saturday. Then, you have Mississippi State at No. 17, basically, as the Bulldogs are the first team in the “others receiving votes” section.

Of the 48 voters, it’s somewhat surprising that Alabama (41) and Georgia (7) got all the first-place votes, but it’s clear the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are two of the best teams in the country right now.

We’re heading toward an Alabama-Georgia showdown in the SEC Championship Game, and it could very well end up being the biggest game of the season.
