4 SEC programs crack Rece Davis' preseason top 15 AP ballot
College football is so close you can practically hear the referee’s whistle. The season kicks off Saturday, both for the nation and the SEC with Vanderbilt taking on Hawaii in the late slot.
College football wouldn’t be about to start if people weren’t ranking teams. ESPN’s Rece Davis joined in on the discourse Wednesday night, including four SEC programs in his preseason top 15 ballot.
The SEC inclusions can be found below:
- Alabama, No. 1

Davis listed Alabama and Georgia as the Preseason AP Poll rated them, though he is slightly lower on Texas A&M (AP had the Aggies at No. 6) and slightly high on Ole Miss (AP had the Rebels at No. 21)
The rest of Davis’ ballot reads as follows:
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Georgia
