The top class of 2022 players are starting to narrow down their lists of top schools, despite the fact they won’t be able to take official visits until at least June 1 due to an extended NCAA dead period.

But, that didn’t stop 4-star 2022 ATH Shemar James from naming his top 8 schools on Monday night, a list that included 6 SEC schools.

As you can see below, the Alabama native had Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Florida and Texas A&M on his list of programs in contention for his commitment:

Those 6 SEC programs will compete with Florida State and Michigan for James’ services in 2022 and beyond.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, James is the No. 11 athlete in the class of 2022 and the No. 8 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
