Heading into his junior season, Katy (Texas) standout Bobby Taylor is early in the stages of his college recruitment. Having already collected 22 scholarship offers, Taylor decided on Sunday to share an early top 12.

Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M were joined by Arizona State, Baylor, Florida State, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Texas and TCU in a graphic Taylor posted to his Twitter account. On Twitter, Taylor refers to himself as an ATH but he is graded as a 4-star cornerback at 247Sports, rated No. 28 at the position and the No. 32 prospect overall in the Lone Star State for the class of 2022.

“I’ve decided that I will focus on the 12 universities shown above,” Taylor wrote in the tweet with the graphic. “I plan to commit after I have completed my Junior year of school academically & athletically.”

If these are his final 12 schools, Taylor appears to be uninterested in carrying on his father’s legacy at Notre Dame despite a scholarship offer from the Fighting Irish. The older Bobby Taylor played at Notre Dame from 1992-94. After being named a consensus All-American as a junior, he went on to play cornerback in the NFL from 1995-2003 with the Philadelphia Eagles and then the Seattle Seahawks in 2004. Taylor was named first-team All-Pro in 2002 and was selected for the Pro Bowl that year.

The younger Taylor wrapped up his first season at Katy in 2019 after previously playing at Houston Heights. Taylor’s sophomore highlights can be viewed below via Hudl:
