Keahnist Thompson is a player to watch in the Class of 2022, and he just made things a bit more interesting for a host of SEC teams which are in the mix more than ever.

Thompson is a 4-star defensive end prospect out of Lakeland, Florida and listed at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds. He is rated the No. 19 SDE in the class, and No. 41 player in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He has a reported 17 offers.

Thompson listed on social media on Sunday that Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn and South Carolina were among his top 8.

Thompson is among a group of players that 247Sports has said is arguably the best defensive line class ever in the state of Florida. The interesting thing about Thompson is that some programs see him as a tight end, and about half of his most recent highlight reel is plays as a tight end.

This is definitely a recruit to watch going forward, especially if he pares this list to a smaller number of finalists before Signing Day.
